Progressive Riding Academy looks for students who show rigor, commitment and (of course) an overriding love of horses to join our intern program. Interns devote their Saturdays to Progressive Riding Academy, during which they get lessons, group rides, and instruction and practice in the five elements of Interactive Horsemanship. Our interns take part in the 'life of the stable' on Saturdays. They learn about horse care and management, feeding, and barn operations. Yes, you will see our interns with a broom and shovel in their hands at times. Part of Saturday is work, but they also get lots of time in the saddle. Our internships are a wonderful, life-enhancing experience for horse lovers that cannot keep a horse of their own. Progressive interns will take part in day camps and special events, especially during the summer. They also get to come on trail rides! Currently, all of our interns also compete as the Royal Riders at schooling, 4-H and other horse shows. OUR INTERNSHIP SPOTS ARE CURRENTLY FULL!
